Kathryn Lewis in the Kansas City Business Journal

Kathryn Lewis received some attention in the Kansas City Business Journal, in an article posted by reporter Paul Koepp. Kathryn represents the Legends of KC, along with James Kirkland. The article reported the receiver for Legends Outlets Kansas City, E3 Realty Advisors Inc., would like to attempt to sell the shopping center on an expedited basis. E3 has asked a judge to approve a sealed bidding process, and has already marketed the property to more than 2,500 investors, brokers, and prospective buyers. The owner, Legends of KC LP, objected to the request, saying it would circumvent the judicial foreclosure process. The foreclosure case is set for July. Legends of KC said that if an expedited sale goes forward, it wants access to all sale process information, but E3 responded that while Legends of KC can participate as a bidder, letting it see other bids would be unfair. CBRE Inc. is the broker for the sale of the property. U.S. Bank sued in May to foreclose on a $180 million note.
