KTK Supports “Washburn Day at the K”

Washburn University hosted its annual “Washburn Day at the K” on Sunday, June 4th. Now in its third year, the Washburn University Alumni Association’s event included a pregame tailgate party in the parking lot and designated group seating in both the upper and lower levels of the stadium. Hundreds of Ichabods, both current students and alum, came to support the Royals against the Cleveland Indians.

KTK has two Washburn University alum among its members – Mike Kuckelman completed both his undergraduate (’86) and Law School (’90) education there, and Steve Torline is a ’97 graduate of the Washburn School of Law. Kuckelman will also be beginning a four year term on the Washburn University Foundation Board of Directors, starting August 1, 2017.

KTK has been an active supporter of the Washburn community throughout the years, and was pleased to again offer its sponsorship for the day. In addition, many members of the firm were able to attend the game in support of both Washburn and the Royals. Despite a rain delay and a tough loss to the Indians, it was a wonderful day for all who were able to join and KTK greatly looks forward to next year’s “Washburn Day at the K.”
