KTK Welcomes Summer Associate, Ande Davis


KTK is glad to announce its new summer associate, Ande Davis. Ande is currently attending Washburn University School of Law, where he ranks first in his class and serves as treasurer for both the Native American Law Student Association and Federal Bar Association. He is also completing his PhD in English and Humanities at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Prior to law school, Ande received his bachelor’s degree in English and graduated magna cum laude from Washburn University. He then earned his Master of Fine Arts in Creative Fiction Writing from Minnesota State University.
Ande has extensive experience as a teacher, writer and editor. He worked as a full-time English instructor at Northwest Missouri State University and Eastern Oklahoma State College, where he taught sections in English, literature and writing. He also served as an adjunct instructor and graduate teaching assistant at University of Missouri-Kansas City, Washburn University, Kansas City Art Institute, Avila University and Minnesota State University. In addition, Ande worked as a communications and public relations specialist for the City of Topeka and the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce, where he managed social media and networking.
Outside of work, Ande enjoys graphic design, playing ice hockey and writing fiction and scholarship. He is a published author, and has works in academia, fiction and poetry.
