  • Recovered $1.2 billion from airlines and their insurers in the 9/11 World Trade Center (“WTC”) loss in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. One of our attorneys was a member of the Executive Committee comprised of five law firms tasked with litigating the WTC case. Settlement was approved by the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. This is believed to be the single largest subrogation recovery in U.S. history.

 

  • Settled air crash related injury to student pilot for $2 million where instructor sent student on first solo flight in windy conditions when the student was not properly trained for the conditions.

 

  • Recovered $640,000 for damage to aircraft involved in crash landing for failure of aircraft maintenance company to repair a recalled part and for design defect by manufacturer.
