KTK Proud to Sponsor THUNGERGONG! 2024

For its 7th year, KTK once again was proud to sponsor THUNDERGONG!, a benefit for Steps of Faith Foundation. Steps of Faith is a local non-profit organization that provides prosthetics to amputees who otherwise can’t afford them. Many who are faced with the trauma of losing a limb following an accident or illness find that their health insurance doesn’t cover prosthetics. With prosthetic limbs ranging from $10,000 to $100,000, making oneself whole again can seem like an insurmountable challenge.

Spearheaded by KC-native Jason Sudeikis, this year’s event held at the historic Uptown Theater featured Will Forte, Flavor Flav, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Jason Barnes, Ted Lasso co-stars Brendan Hunt (aka Coach Beard) and Cristo Fernandez (aka Dani Rojas),  Former Paralympic Olympian and NBC Paris Paralympics Broadcaster Lacey Henderson and Paris Olympic and Paralympic Gold Medalists Tara and Hunter Davis-Woodhall all with the backing of KC Yacht Rock legends Summer Breeze. This year’s event was the most successful ever raising a total of $847.947 by night’s end to help amputees in need. For more information, visit the THUNDERGONG! website.

Mike and KTK look forward to helping the organization continue to grow to help even more of those in need to afford the life-changing prosthetics they require to live normal and self-sufficient lives.
