  • BIO

    Jacob is a dynamic attorney who believes in taking measures to ease clients’ apprehension and make the legal process feel approachable from beginning to end. In criminal practice, he gained experience handling complex cases while helping guide victims and their families through the overwhelming emotions and unfamiliarity that often comes with dealing with legal matters. As a civil litigator, he brings a proactive, trial-ready approach to each case backed by a willingness to confront problems head-on.

     

    Jacob started at KTK in 2024. Previously, he had worked as an Assistant District Attorney, representing the State of Kansas in criminal matters. As an ADA, he handled cases from charging to conviction, and ultimately sentencing. During his time as a prosecutor, he tried and won cases ranging from traffic infractions to violent crimes and felonies. He learned to handle cases with a proactive, trial-ready approach while helping victims and their families with the difficulties and frustrations of navigating the legal system.

     

    Jacob graduated from Washburn University School of Law. There, he was the Vice President of the Trial Advocacy Competition Team. He competed at the AAJ Student Trial Advocacy Competition as well as the TYLA National Trial Competition. While in his third year at Washburn, Jacob obtained a Rule 715 permit and won his first trial shortly before graduation.
